DescriptionBy completing this course students will have the opportunity to accrue either part or all of the CUS30209 - Certificate III in Technical Production qualification. This course is suitable for students seeking extensive knowledge in manipulating audio using industry standard Digital Audio Workstation recording and editing software for all audio requirements – including music tracks, gaming audio and movie making soundtracks and effects. Students learn to set up and use portable address systems (PAs) and control digital and analogue mixing desks. Students learn to apply an extensive array of industry standard microphones to a variety of live and studio recording applications.
PathwaysFurther Education Pathway - TAFE and University music related courses: Cert IV Sound Production, Diploma of Music or Technical Production. Bachelor of Music, Sonic Art (Adelaide University). Career Pathway - Film, television and radio audio engineers, studio-band recording engineers, and live band, DJ or theatre technician sound engineers.
Entry RequirementsExperience with music recording software and an understanding of the production process is an advantage and/or has approximately 2 to 3 years of school music experience and is able to sing or play an instrument competently.
