DescriptionIntended to deliver in partnership with TAFE SA. Doorways 2 Construction is a general construction course providing students with entry level training to develop knowledge and skills in all areas of the Building Industry. The course delivers a White Card qualification. This course is held one day per week for students who are undertaking Stage 1 or 2 SACE. The Trade Training Centre at Springbank Secondary College provides a modern, well equipped work place that allows training to be delivered in an industrial context.
PathwaysFurther Education Pathway - Completion of this qualification provides the pre-requisite requirements for Doorways 2 Construction Plus. Career Pathway - Completion of this qualification may assist students in gaining employment within the Building, Construction and Technology Industries. Progression into the D2C Plus course.
Entry RequirementsIt is desirable that students have completed or be in the process of completing Year 10 and 11 Design and Technology.
Other RequirementsAttend an interview, up to date resume and latest school report.
