Course DescriptionStudents will learn how to code and programme to create 3D games using the Unity 3D game engine. They will: • Get an introduction to industry standard tools and techniques for game development. Learn C# to script interaction. • Design game mechanics to create fun gameplay. • Use version control to manage projects • Use rapid prototyping to create and test games faster
PathwaysFurther Education Pathway - Successful completion of Cert III in Information, Digital Media and Technology can be used as a pathway to the Advanced Diploma of Professional Games Development (Programming or Design) or Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media. Career Pathway - The general skills acquired by this course have applications across a range of traditional industry sectors, including programming, graphic design, advertising, publishing, computing and computer gaming, information design and simulation for the defence/medical/science industries.
Entry RequirementsStudents must have a minimum of Year 10 literacy and numeracy skills as well as basic computing skills. Good maths skills are recommended.
