Course DescriptionThis certificate will provide a range of skills required for employment in general business operations. In addition to the core units of workplace health & safety and keyboarding, students will study electives that are very practical and hands-on to maintain interest. They will gain attention to detail as they write, create and proofread business documents such as letters and reports. The advanced features of computing programs will be used to create desktop published documents, spreadsheets, electronic presentations and word processed documents. The students will be confident in organising schedules, file management and how to use a variety of office equipment including the printer, shredder and laminator.
PathwaysFurther Education Pathway - Certificate IV in Business Administration, Diploma in Business Administration. Career Pathway - Possible job outcomes for graduates include traineeships, Office Manager, Personal Assistant, Administration Officer and Receptionist.
Entry RequirementsStudent should have a minimum Satisfactory pass of Year 11 English/Literacy. Students should have a genuine interest in developing skills and knowledge related to working in the Business Administration industry. They should have basic computing and word processing skills.
