DescriptionRegarding this RTO it is the school's intent to deliver. This certificate is designed to appeal to students wishing to pursue a career in metal trades, manufacturing and related industries, including mining and infrastructure. Workplace Health and Safety will be a major focus of all work undertaken. Students will use a wide range of metal engineering equipment in a modern, well equipped workshop environment. The qualification packaging for Certificate II Engineering has been developed on an assumption that competency will be developed through a combination of on and off-the-job learning strategies such as those delivered through a formal traineeship. The qualification may also be achieved through formal skills recognition assessment processes (RPL/RCC). A minimum 30 points is required to achieve the qualification and must include all mandatory units of competency. The competency is a general qualification covering the areas of mechanical, sheet metal, metal fabrication and welding.
