DescriptionThis course is designed for students who are passionate about animals and interested in the Animal Care Industry. They will learn about animal nutrition, anatomy, handling techniques, First Aid and to how to administer medication. Course work to be completed between workshops. Phone and email support provided. Practical workshops involving domestic pets, wildlife and livestock with field trips to Pastoral Properties, Monarto and Roseworthy Campus.
PathwaysThis Program will provide very useful underpinning knowledge for the following fields and study. Animal Science, Veterinary Bioscience, Veterinary Nursing, Pet Styling, Livestock Agent. By successful completion of units of competency within this Qualification, students will earn SACE points toward ATAR for furthering Animal Care related career options such as Veterinarians, Vet Nursing, Parks and Wildlife/Zoos, Wildlife Rescue, Pet Industry, Animal Welfare - RSPCA, Working Dog Training, Livestock Agent, Stockfeed Merchant.
